Bill Stein
Bill is responsible for developing the firm’s overall investment strategy and for managing key relationships across the sector. He brings over 20 years of industry experience and is a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to co-founding Primary Digital, Bill was CEO of Digital Realty Trust from 2014-2022. Bill co-founded Digital Realty Trust and was the Chief Investment Officer from 2004-2014. During his tenure, he oversaw an increase in the firm’s market capitalization from $700 million to $50 billion.
Bill graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a MS degree (with distinction) and also obtained his JD from The University of Pittsburgh.
Dave Ferdman
Dave is responsible for setting overall strategic direction and managing key relationships for the firm. He brings over 20 years of industry experience and is a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to co-founding Primary Digital, Dave co-founded CyrusOne in 2000 where he was President and CEO from inception until 2011 and also served in these roles on an interim basis from 2021-2022. He led the firm’s $15 billion take-private to funds managed by KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners in 2022. During Dave’s tenure as CEO and as a Board Director at CyrusOne, the firm built and/or operated more than 50 data centers worldwide for 1,000+ customers including 200 Fortune 1000 companies.
Dave obtained his BS in Business Administration from The University of Kansas and is a Towers Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin.
Peter Hopper
Peter co-leads Primary Digital’s Investments Team and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the firm, including portfolio management activities. He has over 25 years of industry experience and is a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to co-founding Primary Digital, Peter was a Managing Director at DigitalBridge Investment Management from 2021-2024. DigitalBridge’s portfolio companies include some of the largest data center operators in the world including Vantage Data Centers, Switch, and Data Bank. Prior to DigitalBridge, he co-founded and was CEO of DH Capital from 2001-2020. DH Capital was a boutique investment bank serving the Internet Infrastructure, SaaS, and Telecom Industries. During his tenure, DH Capital completed over 190 M&A transactions totaling more than $30 billion in value.
Peter graduated from the Lehigh University College of Business with a BS in Finance.
John Sheputis
John co-leads Primary Digital’s Investments Team and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the firm, including portfolio management activities. He has over 20 years of industry experience and is a member of the Investment Committee.
Prior to co-founding Primary Digital, John was a Managing Director at GI Partners from 2019-2023 where he led the firm’s technology real estate acquisitions and developments. During his tenure at GI Partners, he completed and oversaw the acquisition of 30 properties totaling more than 5.4 million square feet. Prior to GI Partners, John was President of Infomart Data Centers from 2014-2018 where his portfolio included the Infomart in Dallas, one of the most valuable and interconnected carrier hotels in the world. He was founder and CEO of Fortune Data Centers from 2006-2014.
John graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He also obtained his MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
John Curran
John is responsible for sourcing and execution of new investment opportunities for the firm and brings over a decade of industry experience.
Prior to joining Primary Digital, John was a Principal of technology real estate acquisitions at GI Partners from 2021-2024. Before his tenure at GI Partners, John was an Associate Director of Investments at Longfellow Real Estate Partners and an Asset Manager at High Street Logistics Properties. He has overseen or participated in over $2 billion of real estate transactions during his career.
John graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Economics (cum laude distinction). He also obtained his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Max Prisk
Max is responsible for sourcing and execution of new investment opportunities for the firm and brings a decade of industry experience.
Prior to joining Primary Digital, Max was an Associate at DigitalBridge. During his time at DigitalBridge, Max worked on a variety of transactions including the take-private acquisition of national data center platform, Switch Inc. Prior to DigitalBridge, Max was an associate at OMERS Infrastructure in Sydney where he focused on digital infrastructure.
Max graduated from Monash University in Melbourne with a BCom in banking and finance.
